PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an asymmetric arylamine compound useful for an organic electroluminescent element, or the like, in high purity without using complicate procedures.;SOLUTION: The method for the production of the asymmetric arylamine compound comprises (A) the production of a diarylamino-substituted halogenated aromatic compound by the reaction of a halogenated aromatic compound expressed by the formula (I): (X1)n-Z-(X2)m...(1) (X1 and X2 are halogen atoms different from each other; (n) and (m) are each an integer of 1-4; and Z is an (n+m)-valent aromatic group) with a diarylamine in the presence of a copper catalyst and (B) the reaction of the diarylamino-substituted halogenated aromatic compound produced by the step (A) with a diarylamine different from the diarylamine used in the step A in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a phosphorus-based ligand.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
