PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting apparatus of a folding wheelchair allowing a person to easily assist a bed-ridden person or a person with disability in walking.;SOLUTION: The apparatus has a vertical moving device 35 for moving a pedestal 50 supporting the wheelchair 1 in the vertical direction and a tilting device 55 for tilting/rotating the pedestal 50 sideways over the vertical moving device 35. A roller 43 is mounted at the lower end of an operation arm 42, and an inclined cam 33b for guiding the roller 43 in the vertical direction, a horizontal cam 33a for guiding the roller 43 forward/backward, and a limiting wall 33c for limiting the rising of the rollers 43 just above the horizontal cam 33 are mounted on a support base 31.
