SLOW AMMONIA RELEASE AND PROTECTED PROTEIN (SARPP) PRODUCTION PROCESS

Production of SARPP appears to be a very promising process, which could serve as source of slow release ammonia and protected protein. The feed supplements is formulated to provide for substantially slow release of ammonia from a non- protein source, e.g. urea treated with formaldehyde, thus, allowing the use of higher level of non-protein nitrogen source in ruminants, to ensure efficient utilization of urea by the rumen microbes by slowing down its breakdown, while avoiding the risk of ammonia toxicity. When protein are treated with formaldehyde it underwent formation of complexes with the help of Methylene Bridge between the formaldehyde and protein, it helps in resisting degradation in the rumen and are digested in the lower part of the GI tract. Thus SARPP product can greatly help in improving milk production, if given as top feed or incorporated as one of the ingredients in compound cattle feed. This invention also describes an apparatus for the production of slow ammonia release and protected protein (SARPP).
