A method for diagnosing the electrophysiological non-homogeneity of the atrial myocardium in the aged patients with the hypertension provides for examining the structural state and the bioelectrical activity of the myocardium in the left atrium. The ratio of the amplitude of P wave in the second lead from the limbs of the standard ECG to the diastolic size of the left atrium is calculated based on ECG data. When the ratio is less than 0.326, the electrophysiological non-homogeneity of the atrial myocardium is evident.
