A high voltage switchgear installation, has at least one busbar (11,12) designed for open air installation, and at least two switching bays which can be connected to the busbars, and at least one encapsulated gas-insulated circuit arrangement in modular construction arranged in one of the switch bays and containing at least a first isolation switch module (DS) and at least one first power switch module (CB). Between the first isolating- and the first power switch-module is arranged a first installation module (MM) allowing transverse dismantling of at least one of the two switch modules.
