A user selection method and a user selection device for MIMO communication are provided to correct the received signal to interference and noise ratio by using the orthogonal coefficient calculated based on the GS orthogonal about the MIMO multiplex layer. The receive signal to interference and noise ratio/channel vector unit(1) measures the received signal to interference and noise ratio and the channel vector of up-link by using the pilot signal of user. The orthogonal coefficient operation unit(2) calculates the projecting channel vector power of the user which is updated by the GS orthogonal on the fixed frequency band width. The orthogonal coefficient operation unit performs the normalization procedure which uses the calculated channel power in order to reckon the orthogonal coefficient. The correction SINR operation unit(3) computes the correction SINR by multiplying the orthogonal coefficient by the receive signal to interference and noise ratio of user.
