A podoviridae bacteriophage is provided to specifically kill Staphylococcus aureus, so that it is useful as therapeutic agent for preventing and treating infectious disease caused by Staphylococcus aureus, antibiotic, cosmetic antibiotics, antiseptic and disinfectant. The podoviridae bacteriophage(KCTC 11154BP) has the killing activity specific to Staphylococcus aureus, and has the gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating infectious disease caused by Staphylococcus aureus comprises the podoviridae bacteriophage(KCTC 11154BP).
