A location identification apparatus for effectively searching the exact location of a mobbing body in a global positioning system and a measuring position method using the same are provided to improve the accuracy of location measurement by operating one antenna having an optimum reception state. A plurality of antenna receives the reference signal. A direction measurement unit(410) measures one of direction angle and slope. The direction of the location identification apparatus is obtained. A selecting antenna unit(430) selects one antenna among antennas based on the direction of the obtained location identification apparatus. The selecting antenna unit includes a mapping table(440). A signal selection unit(460) receives the said reference signal by operating the selected antenna.
