A method for analyzing root age by histochemistry of ginseng is provided to confirm the number of secretory duct layer and accurately and easily identify the root age. A method for anlyzing root age of ginseng comprises: a step of performing histochemistry in ginseng root; and a step of analyzing the number of secretion layers of ginseng. The histochemistry is dyeing with nile blue or 3,3-diaminobenzidine. The number of secretion layers is analyzed with naked eyes or optical microscope.
