NON-POWER VENTILATOR FOR SUBWAY USING NATURAL AIRFLOW

PURPOSE: A non-power ventilator is provided to reduce the size of large blower structure installed on the footway and to protect people living in an underground space from air pollution.;CONSTITUTION: A non-power ventilator comprises a ventilator housing(4), and a honeycomb deck plate(3) placed on the top of the housing. The honeycomb deck plate helps foreign materials and rainwater fall on the surface of an opening and closing member(1) and air circulate to an underground space. The surface of the opening and closing member has a conical shape in order to guide the foreign materials and rainwater toward a waterway(2) for manhole. An air compressor drives a pneumatic actuator to close the opening and closing member in the event of flood. A rubber packing(B) is attached to a support surface to block the infiltration of water completely.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
