SADDLE WATER VALVE, CAPABLE OF REDUCING PRODUCTION COSTS AND INSTALLATION EXPENSES

PURPOSE: A saddle water valve is provided to insert or withdraw a disk into an O-ring located in a backing plate mounted in a body to control water pressure, thereby facilitating the installation of branch pipes.;CONSTITUTION: A saddle water valve(1) comprises a saddle portion(S) consisting of top/bottom saddles(4,5) to be mounted on outer circumference of a water pipe. The saddle water valve comprises a body(3), backing plate(B), and disk(13). The body comprises a bonnet(11), branch valve(9), and saddle in one body. The bonnet closes/opens an opening of a space(8). The branch valve includes a discharging hole(21) communicating with the space. The backing plate is embedded in the space of the body. An O-ring(10) is installed on the circumference of a connector(20) which penetrates through an inlet hole from top and bottom. The disk is inserted into or withdrawn through the inlet on the backing plate and opens/closes the connector.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
