PURPOSE: A precision roll turning lathe is provided to process a three-dimensional pattern like a triangle pyramid on the surface of a roll with high precision.;CONSTITUTION: A precision roll turning lathe comprises the followings. A bed(10) is formed A headstock(12) is installed on the bed and supports one end of a roll(W) with a chuck(19) and has an index axis. A tailstock(14) is installed on the bed to be faced to the headstock and support one end of the roll to be freely rotated. A carriage(16) is equipped with a saddle(26) to be installed on the bed in order to move the roll in the longitudinal direction. A table(28) is installed on the saddle to move in the longitudinal direction and the vertical direction of the roll. A rotary part has a bit platform(33) to which a diamond bit adheres.
