A music fountain system and a directing method thereof are provided to secure a beautiful music fountain in various ways even with impromptu inputted music. A music fountain system comprises: a database(10); an audio signal inputting unit(20) for inputting music; a characteristic detecting unit(30) for analyzing the characteristics of the inputted music and making its data; a central processor(40) for comparing the data of the database to that of the characteristic detecting unit and selecting a corresponding data operating signal and the music and transmitting to both PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) controlling a pump module, nozzle module, light module and a control valve and an audio device; and a simulation unit.
