PROGNOSIS METHOD FOR ATRIUM PAROXYSMAL FIBRILLATION ONSET AFTER CORONARY BYPASS SURGERY

FIELD: medicine; cardiology.;SUBSTANCE: before the operation, patient age and atrium paroxysmal fibrillation facts in past history being specified, left atrium size and P wave duration on standard ECG are measured; then diurnal ECG monitoring is conducted and number of single and dual atrium extrasystoles is counted. Total score is calculated by special formula, including patient's indices mentioned above. If total score exceeds some defined number, high risk of atrium paroxysmal fibrillations onset is predicted after coronary bypass surgery; if the score is below another defined number, low risk of atrium paroxysmal fibrillations onset is predicted.
