The system has multiple control devices such as anti-lock braking system and electronic stability program control device (12), all-wheel control device (13), anti-roll control device (14) and transmission control device (15), coupled through a data bus. A rolling mode data signal is activatable or deactivatable centrally for the transfer of the control devices between a motor vehicle drive mode and a motor vehicle rolling mode. Each control device verifies the rolling mode data signal and automatically takes either the drive mode or rolling mode depending on the verification.
