The method involves applying a cutting particle layer (3) on an outer edge of a steel blade (2) of a cutting disk (1). The cutting particle layer and a layer are applied on the outer edge of the steel blade by fusion of a wire and/or a wire electrode. The cutting materials i.e. diamond cutting particle, are directly injected into a molten mass via a nozzle after the fusion of the cutting particle layer. A detention layer is applied between the outer edge of the steel blade and the cutting particle layer.
