The disk (1) has outer sides (2, 3), where each outer side exhibits a friction material (4) e.g. cast material, of a friction ring, and hollow material (7) provided between the sides. The hollow material overlaps the sides. The hollow material is arranged as annular insert part of chlorofluorocarbon, and radially extends along a middle break area range around a middle point of the disk for temperature compensation in the friction material and for temperature compensation between the materials. The hollow material differs from the friction material. Brake area exhibits a cast iron material. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a brake disk.
