The plant has processing stations (4, 7, 9, 14, 16, 18), and a robot-guided spraying device inserting a molded skin (3) into a lower part (6) of a two-piece foam tool. A carrier component is fixed to the molded skin or on an upper part (11) of the two-piece foam tool in a defined position by the spraying device. The spraying device inserts foamed plastic into the molded skin during opened foam tool or into a cavity of a closed foam tool. A transporting unit transports the tool lower part between the processing stations. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a multi-layered plastic component.
