The plant has machine housing arranged on a tower (2), and an adjustment device (4) e.g. azimuth adjustment device, with which a rotor blade of a rotor of the plant is rotated around an axle in a motor-driven manner. The adjustment device is provided with an adjustment drive (4a). An eddy current brake (15) is provided for braking the adjustment drive. A control equipment (16) controls the current brake during exceeding of a border number of revolutions of the adjustment drive, so that the current brake limits the number of revolutions of the adjustment drive. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a wind power plant.
