The method involves introducing a cutting tool (2) into an old pipe (3) up to a wall (1) from an inner side of the wall, where the old pipe is internally separated and guided through the wall. The old pipe is cut-through radially from an inside, external to the wall. A continuous core hole (4) is introduced in the wall around the old pipe before or after the cutting-through of the old pipe. The bored wall part with the detached pipe part is removed from the wall after the cutting through of the old pipe and the introduction of the core hole. An independent claim is also included for a device for preparing and implementing the removal of a wall duct of a supply line during the replacement of a house service connection.
