The device has a laser module (1) attached to a machine. The laser module is designed such that light beam of the laser module is movable independent of spatial orientation of the machine by static or dynamic deflection around an axis directed downward parallel to a gravitational force to enable a marking of outer borders of the danger area. The laser module has a laser diode (3) arranged in a base housing (2). A rotating prism (4) is placed in an optical path of the laser. The laser beam is deflected around an angle defined by the prism. A dome (6) is made of a polycarbonate material.
