The system has a particle counting device (1) i.e. laser particle counting device, attached to a water treatment circuit. A person counting device (6) detects person-conditioned loads of water to be treated. A measuring personal computer (2) is coupled with the particle counting device and the person counting device. The particle counting device is connected with a supply pipe (12a) and/or a return pipe (12b) of a filter unit (12) of the treatment circuit. The particle counting device is connected with a flow meter (3) that is arranged in front of the particle counting device. An independent claim is also included for a measuring method for controlling and/or regulating water treatment in a swimming pool.
