The invention relates to a seal assembly (4) for sealing a door (2) against a chassis part (1), comprising a pivotable profile base (6) with two projections (11, 14). One of the projections (11) is made from rubber elastic material and is opposite a sealing surface (12). The other of the projections (14) is harder than the projection (11) made from rubber elastic material. On closing the door (2) the profile base (6) is pivoted about the harder of the projections (14) and the projection (11) made from rubber elastic material is pre-tensioned against the sealing surface (12). A long-lasting seal by the sealing assembly (4) is thus guaranteed.
