The steering has an input shaft (2) swiveling around a shaft axis (1) and an actuating rod (4) not parallel to the shaft axis and moving linearly along a displacement axis (3). The input shaft and the actuating rod are coupled with each other by a mechanical unit, such that a rotation of the input shaft is converted into a linear movement of the actuating rod. Two guide curve segments (7,8) form a common pass through a guiding curve (6). A key element (5) is connected to the guiding curve for continuous generation of the linear motion of the actuating rod.
