Alkoxysilyl containing polyether alcohols, their use and processes for their preparation by DMC catalysis, characterized in that one or more epoxy-functional alkoxysilanes individually or in admixture with other epoxy compounds and optionally further comonomers optionally blockwise or randomly distributed to a chain starter of the formula (VII) R1 -H are added with at least one reactive hydroxyl group, wherein R1 represents a saturated or unsaturated, optionally branched radical or a polyether radical of the type of an alkoxy, arylalkoxy or alkylarylalkoxy group in which the carbon chain may be interrupted by oxygen atoms, a polyetheralkoxy or a simple or multiply fused phenolic group.
