The shaft (5) has radially bearing surfaces (27) provided with a bearing bushing (23) for forming a radial bearing of the shaft. The bearing surfaces are provided with a coating whose thickness is irregularly formed. A circular or polygon oil pocket and a conveyer groove are formed in the coating. Two regions with increased thickness and two regions with reduced thickness are formed in the coating over a periphery of the shaft. The thickness of the coating in the regions with reduced thickness is equal to zero. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust-gas turbocharger comprising a compressor wheel rotatably connected with a shaft.
