The assembly system has a support profile (2) comprising a groove (2a) extending along a support profile longitudinal direction, where a front edge (1a) of a solar module (1) is inserted in the groove. A contact device is provided in a region of the groove and is formed as a housing (5), which surrounds electrical contact elements and is slidably arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal direction at a lower groove wall (2f) of the support profile. The housing is provided for electrical contacting with a corresponding contact housing (6) of the solar module.
