The device (1) has two suction heads (10) each with a suction surface comprising a suction hole (13) arranged eccentrically in the suction head, such that a distance (a-1) between the suction heads is adjustable. The suction surface of each suction head exhibits an oblong contour such as an elliptical contour, or a circular or square contour with eccentric arrangement of the suction hole. A linear boundary region of the suction head forms a sealing surface. A seal (15) is arranged between edge areas that are turned away from each other.
