The device has a set of transportation elements (10) sequentially arranged to one another without a gap. Each transportation element exhibits a plate (8) with an opening (9), such that a sequence of the openings is formed without the gap. The openings are used for premolding. A set of locking elements (34) is provided to lock the openings, such that the sequence of the openings without gap usable for premolding is interrupted in the plates. The locking elements are provided with a carrier element (38) designed as a carrier ring. An independent claim is also included for a method for retrofitting a device for heating a set of premoldings.
