The device has a conveyor belt supplying gear wheels to a supply area, and a stopper (1) to block the gear wheels in the supply area, so that the gear wheels are removed to the belt by a gripper and are supplied for completion of a mounting station and/or for further machining in tool machines. The stopper is arranged in a height of a flange of the gear wheels. The stopper rotatably stays in connection with stationary components of the supply area in such a manner that the stopper is tiltable from an area of the gear wheels during vertical movement and lifting of the wheels by the gripper.
