The method involves representing information about an actual condition and a part of exemplars (9) of a workpiece on a semitransparent screen (3) and a data processing device (5) e.g. portable computer, such that the screen and the device are viewed from a viewing position (7), where the information is represented in a correct position for viewers with respect to the exemplars. The viewers are located at the viewing position of the device and the screen, such that the viewers view each position of the exemplars corresponding to measured coordinates of the actual condition. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining deviations between a nominal condition and an actual condition of a workpiece.
