The exchanger i.e. assembly unit (9), has collectors (1, 2) for a fluid medium i.e. water, and connection channels (3). The channels exhibit a slotted hole-like cross-section, and the fluid medium flow between the collectors. The connection channels are connected with the collectors over flow openings (4). A flow gap (5) for a fluid medium i.e. heating gas, is provided between the openings that are designed in the form of connection pipes (18). Each opening exhibits a cross-section, which is dimensioned smaller than the hole-like cross-section of one of the channels.
