The method involves determining a movement of a body (20) of a motor vehicle (10) by using path sensors (30, 32, 34, 36), and supplying sensor signals to a damper controller. A control signal for controlling actuators is determined by the controller from the sensor signals under consideration of defined conditions based on requirements of the movement of the vehicle and driving safety requirements by using condition-based control algorithms. The control signal is determined from a combination of signals supplied by different condition-based control algorithms. An independent claim is also included for a system for generating a signal for influencing movement of motor vehicle.
