The device has an electronic detection device controlling a bistable type solenoid valve that is interposed between a water inlet (10) and a jack (7). A flap gate (3) closes an orifice (2) formed in a lower part of a flush tank (1). Force required to lift the flap gate is provided by the pressure of a water supply network, where the pressure of the water is applied to a piston (6) of the jack.
