The wedge (1) has posterior and anterior edges (6, 7), an inner edge (3) supported on a cortical part of a tibia, and an outer edge (2) provided in an opening in a femur, where the edges define a central cavity (10) and the wedge is presented in form of asymmetrical, rhombus or trapezoid shapes. Upper and lower faces (8, 9) have maintaining units (11) e.g. screw, for stabilizing the wedge on a bone surface. An insertion unit inserts the wedge during surgical intervention, where the wedge is made up of resorbable and solid biopolymer materials.
