The method involves redimensioning an image of a reference object e.g. bank card such as credit card, by a user from a display device (1) i.e. screen, of a computer. A three-dimensional image (2') of a target object i.e. portable telephone, is automatically redimensioned in proportions such as reduction factors, corresponding to redimensioning of the image of the reference object. An image of the redimensioned target object is displayed on the display device of the computer. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product comprising instructions to perform a method for visualizing a three-dimensional representation of a target object on a display device.
