The device (9) has a tubular metallic sleeve comprising a circular inner section and a diameter equal to an outer diameter of an end portion of a rectilinear conduit (C), where the sleeve surrounds the end portion of the conduit. The sleeve is arranged for being bent manually by preserving the circular inner section. The sleeve includes a preservation unit for preserving the bend of the sleeve against flexural elasticity of the conduit, where the preservation unit is formed by stiffness of the sleeve. The sleeve includes an end (10) on a coupling (1), middle section (11) and a free end (12). An independent claim is also included for a connection assembly for connecting an end portion of a conduit to a circuit element.
