The buckle has a clasp including a rectangular lock (12) movable between a plate locking position in which the lock co-operates with a transversal passage defined by plates (3, 4), and a plate unlocking position. The lock is movably mounted on a support (13) housed in the clasp. The support has an opening traversed by the lock when the lock is in locking position. The lock is supported against a wall of the support when a traction effort exceeding a preset value is exerted on the plates in locking position.
