A support for a shaping block during the construction of concrete structures

The invention relates to a support for holding and maintaining the position of a shaping block used to form a right angle join between the floor and the wall of a building whilst concrete is poured and sets. The support comprises a bracing arrangement fixed to a substantially cylindrical member i.e. rebar at a desired location along the length of the member. The bracing arrangement has a trough shaped elongate bracing member 1 which is placed in contact with the cylindrical member so that the bracing member 1 lies along a length of the cylindrical member. The bracing member 1 has a support portion 13 with a free end 15 and a first cantilevered support surface 16 on which the shaping block is supported. One embodiment relates to a method of using said support. A further embodiment relates to a support comprising an elongate bracing member with a support portion comprising first and second support elements disposed at an angel to each other. The first support element has a free end and presents a first cantilevered support surface and the second support element is positioned substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the bracing member.
