FGF-2 INDUCTIVE FIBROBLAST-LIKE CELL AND METHOD FOR INDUCING PROLIFERATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinal cord-derived fibroblast-like cell, wherein the proliferation of the cell is induced by basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2), the cell has regenerative activity of nerve axon, and the cell is capable of repairing spinal cord injury, and a method for inducing proliferation thereof.;SOLUTION: There is disclosed an FGF-2 inductive fibroblast-like cell, wherein the proliferation of the cell is induced by FGF-2 from spinal substance of mammals. The cell is fibronectin-positive, and N-cadherin and VE-cadherin are strongly expressed. There is also disclosed a method for inducing the proliferation of FGF-2 inductive fibroblast-like cell, wherein the method comprises a first step of collecting the spinal substance of mammals and a second step of performing the tissue culture of spinal substance obtained in the first step using a medium containing FGF-2.
