PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively identify an imaged planimetric feature as one having an optional shape with reducing effect of direction of planimetric features and imaging direction.;SOLUTION: In the polarimetric SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) system, a first base conversion processing unit 19 computes a first full polarimetric complex image on the basis of full polarimetric data of an imaged planimetric feature, and a second base conversion processing unit 20 computes a second full polarimetric complex image on the basis of full polarimetric data of a known planimetric feature. The first full polarimetric complex image after passing through an intensity conversion processing unit 23 and a filter processing unit 27 and the second full polarimetric complex image after passing through an intensity conversion processing unit 24 and a filter processing unit 28 are computed for a similarity degree by a similarity degree computing processing unit 31. The similarity degree computing processing unit 31 quantitatively identifies the imaged planimetric feature by a known planimetric feature when the computed value of the similarity degree r is higher than a predetermined value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
