PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a usable Factor VIII preparation increasing the stability and half-life of Factor VIII in vitro and in vivo. PSOLUTION: The invention relates to the use of peptides derived from and antibodies generated against Factor VIII, and the inhibition of Factor VIII interaction with LRP. Further, the invention concerns a method for inhibiting LRP interaction with Factor VIII as well as a method for decreasing Factor VIII degradation, a method for prolonging Factor VIII half-life in a biological fluid and/or a method for treating patients suffering from a blood coagulation disorder (especially Haemophilia A). The invention also concerns a pharmaceutical composition useful for the decrease of Factor VIII degradation in the biological fluid, the inhibition of Factor VIII interaction with LRP, and/or the prolongation of Factor VIII half-life in the biological fluid for treatment of the blood coagulation disorder (especially Haemophilia A).
