PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen permeable separating thin film having excellent mechanical property and hydrogen permeable separating performance. PSOLUTION: The hydrogen permeable separating thin film has constitution which contains, by atomic%, 0.5-20% Zr, 23-43% Ti (wherein Zr+Ti: 23-52%), 14-43% Ni, 0.5-25% Co (wherein Ni+Co : 20-50%) and the balance Nb with inevitable impurities (wherein, Nb: 10-45%); and is a thermal-refining material of a cast thin film material having 0.1 mm thickness obtained by a rolling rapid-cooling method; and is composed of Nb-Ti-Ni-(Co, Nb) alloy having the alloy structure, in which Ni(Co)-Ti(Zr, Nb) intermetallic compound, substityting Co for a part of Ni, and Zr and Nb for a part of Ti, and fine grains of Nb-base solid-solution alloy subjected to solid solution with mainly Ti, Ni and either one of Co or Zr into Nb, are dispersedly distributed.
