PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modified metallic material having adhesiveness among a general plastic, a general engineering plastic, an elastomer, a coating film and adhesive.;SOLUTION: An adhesive surface is formed on a metal surface by passing current between a counter electrode of a non-soluble conductive material and a material to be treated in an aqueous solution containing nitric acid ion, further preferably both of phosphoric acid ion and nitric acid ion at the same time. When the metal to be treated is aluminum, titanium, iron, stainless, nickel, copper or these alloy or a plated surface, the metal to be treated is connected to an anode to pass the current between the metal and the anode and when the metal to be treated is zinc, magnesium or these alloy or the plated surface, the metal to be treated is connected to a cathode to pass the current between the metal and the cathode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
