PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables a mechanical opening and closing body stop device for an opening and closing apparatus to be efficiently constructed on a job site for the installation of the opening and closing apparatus.;SOLUTION: The stop device comprises: a locking wire 36 which has a portion laid between a shutter curtain 1 and a lintel 16 in the state of being immovable with respect to the shutter curtain 1 serving as an opening and closing body moved by being guided with a guide rail 6 as a guide member, and which serves as a laying member moved with respect to the shutter curtain 1 by the opening and closing movement of the shutter curtain 1; and a mechanical connection device 39 which puts the shutter curtain 1 and the locking wire 36 into a mechanically-connected state when the shutter curtain 1 midway through the closing movement abuts on an obstacle. After the shutter curtain 1 is put into the state of being guided with the guide rail 6, the locking wire 36 is laid between the lintel 16 and the shutter curtain 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
