PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the number of functions started corresponding to input biological information while maintaining authentication performance in the case of adopting a sweep type fingerprint sensor. PSOLUTION: This function starting device has an encoded information-function corresponding relation table storing the corresponding relation between encoded information in which the feature quantity of fingerprint input operation is encoded, and functions started according to the input of the fingerprint image. Various functions started according to the input of the fingerprint image are associated with every feature quantity different according to the moving direction and acceleration of fingerprint input operation.
