PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a font printed on a medium with a ruled line section 6 having a second color different from a first color in a base color section 5 having the first color.;SOLUTION: A printed font, in a font section 7 having a third color, has a border section 8 with a fourth color different from the third color. A font recognition device 2 which recognizes the font has a font dictionary data. The font dictionary data includes: border font dictionary data for associating the code number of font with font image data in which the font is colored in a fifth color, and border in a sixth color; font dictionary data without border for associating the code number of the font with font image data in which the font is colored in the sixth color and not bordered; and only-border font dictionary data for associating the code number of the font with the font image data in which the font is not colored, and bordered in the sixth color.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
