PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snap button capable of adding sufficient ornament properties to an inner snap button if the snap buttons are detached from or attached to each other, and capable of exhibiting unprecedented excellent ornament properties without impairing the functions as snap buttons. PSOLUTION: A male snap button has a male engagement element corresponding to a female engagement element of a coupled female snap button. The male engagement element includes a male engagement element body and a spacer stored in the male engagement element body. The male engagement element body is formed in the shape of a bottomed cylinder with the enlarged diameter in the upper end side. The maximum size (w) of the outer diameter of the male engagement element body is larger than the height size (h), and an opening is disposed at the center of the bottom. The male engagement element body has a cylindrical caulking leg part continued downward from the bottom to the opening. The upper surface of the spacer is an ornament part.
