PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically determine whether each pole belongs to a "tension side" or a "compression side" without drawing a strength-resistance figure and visually display the result of automatic determination.;SOLUTION: A figure in which a plurality of exposed column bases to be subjected to a strength-resistance test are each schematically arranged is displayed on a display means, and the result of determination whether each column base belongs to the "compression side" or the "tension side" is visually and discriminatingly displayed in the vicinity of each column base mark, which indicates the exposed column base in the figure on the display means. In determining whether the column base belongs to the "compression side" or the "tension side", a reference axial force (N3) under long-period loading conditions, short-period loading conditions or final loading conditions is computed for each exposed column base, and the reference axial force (N3) is compared with the axial force (N) under each loading conditions.
