METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NON-STOP TRAVELING AT INTERSECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating a vehicle travel speed calibration factor that is optimized for a system for controlling non-stop traveling at an intersection, and a method for calculating a recommended travel speed.;SOLUTION: As for a vehicle passing through a particular spot P which is present at the upstream fixed distance to an intersection A, and going toward the intersection A, a particular spot Q is set between the particular spot P and the intersection A, and in parallel with travel by a recommended travel speed to be calculated for every fixed time T after passing the particular spot P between the particular spot P and the particular spot Q, a travel distance between the particular spot P and the particular spot Q is measured, and a travel speed calibration factor is calculated by using a road distance true value and the travel distance measured value between the particular spot P and the particular spot Q, and the calculation of the recommended travel speed for every fixed time T using the calculated travel speed calibration factor and the travel toward the intersection by the recommended travel speed is performed between the particular spot Q and the intersection A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
